About Open RV Parks

Open RV Parks is a free, independent directory of 4914 open RV parks across 43 US states. We built it because finding a straight answer about where you can actually park a rig, what hookups exist, and what it might cost should not take eleven tabs and a phone call.

Where the data comes from

Listings are derived from OpenStreetMap, the community-maintained map of the world. Our pipeline pulls every mapped RV park, removes junk and permanently closed entries, normalizes hookup levels into three categories, and republishes the result with attribution. The data set behind this site was last refreshed on 2026-07-31.

What we add

On top of the raw data we add state and category hubs, a trip planner with disclosed cost estimate bands, per-park pages with nearby stops, and hand-illustrated artwork. Illustrations are always artist renditions of a camping scene, never photographs of a specific park.

Independence

Some gear links are affiliate links, always labeled. No park pays for placement in search results or on the map. Featured badges mark listings our data shows as complete, not paid placement.
