Editorial policy

Every number on this site must trace back to real data or a disclosed method. This page is the standard we hold ourselves to.

What we publish

Park names, locations, hookups, phone numbers, and accessibility flags come straight from OpenStreetMap field data. We never invent scores, popularity counts, site counts, or per-park prices; if a number does not exist in the source, it does not appear on the page.

Estimates are labeled

Trip costs use editorial estimate bands by hookup level, published in full on the methodology page. An estimate is always labeled as one wherever it appears.

Illustrations

All park artwork is hand-illustrated scenery in our house style. Illustrations are labeled as artist renditions and are never presented as photographs of a specific park.

Corrections

When a reader or park owner reports an error we verify it against the source data and ship the fix in the next site update. Report one via the contact page.

Monetization

Affiliate links are labeled and never affect rankings. Featured badges mark data completeness, not payment. If paid placement ever exists, it will be labeled as such.
